All our glass is toughened to British Standard (BS 6206-EN12600) with polished edged for your safety.
There are cheaper alternatives on the market and are often made from imported glass that is pre coated. This type of glass cannot be toughened and is considered as unsuitable. It will often crack across the socket cut outs and behind the hob.
